A 34-year-old man, Rabiu Mukthar, allegedly opened fire at a wedding ceremony in Kano, killing one person and injuring three others. The incident occurred after Mukthar, a resident of Tudun Yola Quarters, became disturbed by loud music during the ceremony. The Kano State Police Command spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed the incident, stating that Mukthar used a pump-action gun to fire at the gathering. Police responded, arrested Mukthar and another suspect, and recovered the weapon. Mukthar reportedly told investigators that the event organizers did not consult him before holding the ceremony.
