The Nigerian naira traded relatively steadily against the US dollar on August 26, 2026, with the official Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) rate at approximately N1,346.34/$1. The Central Bank of Nigeria derives the NFEM rate from the volume-weighted average of transactions. The parallel market rate was quoted at about N1,400/$1, according to Aboki Forex. The naira has remained close to the N1,347/$ level in the official market.
