Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, foiled an abduction attempt and rescued 14 kidnapped victims in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State on August 26, 2026. Acting on intelligence about suspicious activities around Magazu village, troops engaged armed men attempting to abduct civilians, forcing them to flee. During a pursuit, the troops discovered and rescued the victims, one of whom was taken to General Hospital, Tsafe, for treatment. No casualties were recorded among the troops.
