2027: SDP’s Adebayo accuses Atiku of inconsistency over plan to restore subsidy

Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has accused former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar of inconsistency over his recent stance on petrol subsidy. Atiku, now the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has said he would restore subsidy if elected in 2027, citing Nigeria's sufficient resources. Adebayo pointed out that Atiku had previously campaigned on removing subsidy during the 2023 election. He made these remarks during an interview with News Central.
