The wife of an active-duty US soldier has been deported to Honduras, according to multiple reports. Cristy Maryori Villafranca-Trejo, wife of Army Sgt Hedar Leonel Turcios Juarez and mother of their six-year-old daughter, was deported on Monday. She entered the United States in 2016 at age 18, and her husband said she left due to violent crime. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed her deportation, stating she received due process. This is reportedly at least the seventh case involving deportation of a spouse or parent of an active-duty US military member since President Donald Trump returned to office.
