A chieftain of the Labour Party (LP) in Abia State, Nwabueze Onwuneme, has stated that Governor Alex Otti's performance in office is the party's strongest campaign tool ahead of 2027. He insisted that the LP does not need an alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC) to retain power. Onwuneme was reacting to comments by the Abia APC chairman about a possible alliance.
