At least 17 people have been killed after a massive flash flood and mudslide swept through communities along the Nepal-Tibet border. The disaster struck early Wednesday in Nepal's Rasuwa district, north of Kathmandu, washing away villages and damaging roads and infrastructure. Authorities believe excessive snow melting into the Bhote Koshi River contributed to the flooding.
