European football nations are expected to withdraw their threat to boycott FIFA competitions after receiving assurances from the world governing body, according to Sky News. The boycott threat was introduced by UEFA last month in response to FIFA president Gianni Infantino's controversial proposal to sell shares in a World Cup-related commercial venture. Infantino later abandoned the plan, but UEFA sought guarantees against similar future moves. The assurances are set to be discussed at meetings in Monaco on Thursday, and England and other European teams are now expected to participate in the Under-20 Women's World Cup in Poland.
