Senate President Godswill Akpabio has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will secure a second term in the 2027 general election, citing the administration's achievements. Speaking in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Akpabio received members of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions, TETFund and NELFund, led by Senator Muntari Dandutse. He stated that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would have sufficient achievements to present to Nigerians when campaigns begin. Akpabio noted that Tinubu inherited a difficult economic situation but has taken steps that improved state finances and changed the situation regarding salary and pension payments.
