The Arewa Think Tank, through its convener Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu, has defended the Chairman of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Mohammed Shehu, against criticisms over recent statements on Nigeria's fiscal policies. Yakubu argued that RMAFC is a constitutionally established body responsible for revenue mobilization and allocation, and its interventions are within its mandate. He stated that the chairman cannot remain silent on issues affecting the Federation Account.
