The Federal Government has introduced a N365 million annual National Laureate Prize to reward outstanding academic research, innovation, and intellectual excellence in tertiary institutions. Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, unveiled the initiative in Abuja, aiming to reposition universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education as hubs of research and innovation. The prize will recognize exceptional undergraduate dissertations with commercial potential and other scholarly achievements.
