Severe flooding and a mudslide near the Nepal-Tibet border have left at least 19 people dead and more than 300 tourists unaccounted for. The disaster struck on Wednesday, with a torrent of mud and debris sweeping away homes and damaging infrastructure. Nepal's tourism board reported that 384 tourists, including 291 foreigners, were still missing, with Americans, Indians, Britons, Malaysians, and an Australian among those unaccounted for. The Nepal Army has deployed helicopters and disaster-response teams to search for survivors and assist those affected, while the flooding has also damaged electricity infrastructure.
