Meta has agreed to settle a lawsuit alleging that its social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, harmfully addict young users. The settlement, which could reach up to $16.7 billion, was announced in court filings on Wednesday. As part of the agreement, Meta will implement changes to its products, including a two-hour daily limit for teens. The company stated that ensuring a safe experience for teens is an absolute imperative.
