Canadian travel to the United States fell by 25.4% in 2025, according to Statistics Canada, marking the deepest non-pandemic decline on record. The trend has continued into 2026, with a 10.6% drop in trips during the first quarter. The decline is linked to ongoing trade tensions and tariffs between the two countries. Despite some improvement in bookings, July bookings remain 39% below 2024 levels.
