Eco Atlantic Oil & Gas and Navitas Petroleum have highlighted the significant offshore oil and gas potential of South Africa's Block 1 CBK, estimating over 3.6 billion barrels of unrisked prospective oil and 4.5 trillion cubic feet of gas. The African Energy Chamber supports continued international investment in the country, calling for a regulatory environment that enables exploration. The updated assessment follows Navitas' decision to farm into the block in May 2026.
