FG won’t waste funds on ‘worthless’ foreign scholarships, Alausa declares

Minister of Education Dr. Tunji Alausa has announced that the federal government will no longer fund foreign scholarship programmes it considers unproductive. He revealed that Nigeria previously spent N650 million on 150 students sent to Morocco under the Bilateral Education Agreement. The decision aims to redirect resources to Nigerian tertiary institutions, which now have the capacity to offer similar courses.
