The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at Plateau State University, Bokkos, has declared an indefinite strike over the university administration's failure to address a six-point demand. The union issued a 14-day ultimatum on August 11, which expired without resolution. The demands include the commencement of the Contributory Pension Scheme, full implementation of the 2025 Federal Government/ASUU agreement, and payment of arrears from January 1, 2026. The strike was announced after a Congress meeting, according to a statement signed by the union's chairperson and secretary.
