Benin-Agbor-Asaba gridlock: Contractor failed to meet obligations – Sunday Dare

Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, attributed the prolonged gridlock on the Benin-Agbor-Asaba expressway to the contractor's failure to meet obligations. Speaking on Channels Television, Dare said the Federal Government provides funding and identifies roads needing intervention, but contractors must execute projects to agreed standards. He noted that the contractor's excuses showed failure on their part. The highway has experienced severe congestion for nearly two weeks, disrupting movement between Edo and Delta states.
