Leaders of the Southern and Middle Belt Leaders Forum (SMBLF) have rejected any attempt to compulsorily allocate community lands for cattle ranching. The group, comprising representatives from Afenifere, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, PANDEF, and the Middle Belt Forum, criticized the Federal Government's proposed livestock policy as opaque. They demanded full transparency on land acquisition, ownership, and beneficiaries, and warned against imposing the policy on communities.
