The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd.), has stated that Nigeria is committed to building a self-reliant and globally competitive defence industrial base. He spoke at the 7th Nigeria–Türkiye Defence Industry Business Forum in Abuja. The DICON Act 2023 provides a framework for private-sector participation and partnerships with international defence manufacturers, aiming to position Nigeria as a competitive defence manufacturing hub in Africa.
