The Federal Government has launched the Renewable Asset Management Company (RAMCO) with a target of mobilising about N3 trillion in investment into Nigeria's renewable energy sector. The Minister of Power, Mr Joseph Tegbe, announced this at the stakeholders' launch in Abuja, stating that the initiative would introduce a new approach to managing public infrastructure by focusing on sustained asset performance. RAMCO aims to bridge the gap between public investment and private capital by creating professionally managed and investible renewable energy assets. Tegbe noted that the government had historically focused more on constructing infrastructure than maintaining it, leading to deterioration of public assets.
