The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled a by-election for the Dawakin Kudu constituency in Kano State House of Assembly on September 19, 2026. The by-election became necessary after the previous member vacated the seat to contest for a House of Representatives position. INEC's Resident Electoral Commissioner, Abdul A. Zango, announced the date during a media briefing.
