A report from Smart DNA Nigeria reveals that nearly one in four men who underwent paternity testing at the laboratory was excluded as the biological father during the 2025/2026 reporting period. The negative result rate was 23.6 per cent, a slight decline from 24 per cent in the previous period and 26.1 per cent in 2023. Elizabeth Digia, the operations manager, noted that most clients seek answers to unresolved questions about biological parentage.
