Airtel Nigeria has expanded its network to over 17,000 cell sites, with more than 99% of them 4G-enabled, covering all 774 local government areas. The company added over 1,050 new sites in its 2025-26 financial year, a significant increase from about 15,000 sites two years prior. This expansion underscores Airtel's commitment to enhancing digital connectivity, especially in rural areas, and supporting Nigeria's digital economy.
