Residents of Onya community in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State have raised alarm over worsening erosion along the River Niger. They say the community is gradually being swallowed by the river, with erosion persisting for over two decades. The erosion has destroyed homes, farmlands, schools, and shrines in the area.
