Despite a slight drop in global crude oil prices, the price of petrol in Nigeria has increased to an average of N1,212 per litre, up from N1,158, representing a 4.7% rise. The increase has been attributed to higher depot prices, with Port Harcourt recording N1,735 per litre. Experts note that the Dangote Refinery is now a key determinant of market prices, while the rise has sparked concerns among consumers and businesses.
