The Federal Government of Nigeria has disbursed over N600 billion in cash transfers to more than 10 million households in the three years since President Bola Tinubu took office. Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Bernard Doro, made this known during an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today. He stated that the programme aims to support poor and vulnerable households, potentially reaching about 40 million people based on an average household size of four. Additionally, the government has launched a vocational skills programme that has trained over 18,000 individuals, providing them with starter kits and stipends.
