The federal government has announced a new initiative requiring public institutions using solar electricity to pay tariffs for maintenance. The plan was unveiled during the launch of the Renewable Assets Management Company (RAMCO) by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). REA Managing Director Aliyu Abba Abubakar explained that RAMCO will serve as an emergency fund to maintain solar installations and prevent deterioration.
