Dr Bolaji Lateef Salako, a consultant clinical radiation oncologist at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, has warned that misinformation about chemotherapy is costing lives. In an interview, he explained that chemotherapy does not spread cancer and clarified the truth about its side effects. He emphasized that patients should complete their treatment despite the challenges. Salako stressed that ignorance about chemotherapy is more dangerous than the treatment itself.
