African health ministers, development partners, and heads of regional health institutions have agreed to accelerate the elimination of multiple diseases in the region. During a high-level side event at the 76th session of the WHO Regional Committee for Africa, they endorsed the Addis Ababa Call to Action on Protecting and Accelerating Multi-Disease Elimination in Africa. The commitment aims to boost country ownership, domestic investment in health, and build resilient health systems capable of addressing multiple public health challenges.
