Benue State has been onboarded into the National Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System (NEMSAS) by the Federal Government. The state also launched its own State Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System (SEMSAS) during a two-day stakeholders' sensitisation programme in Makurdi. Health Commissioner Dr. Paul Ogwuche highlighted the initiative's importance for Benue's large rural population and difficult terrain, aiming to reduce deaths from delayed emergency care.
