NIMASA cracks down on Cabotage law violations

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has intensified enforcement of the Cabotage Act to promote indigenous participation in coastal and inland shipping. The agency issued a marine notice requiring vessels and ship-owning companies to comply with Nigeria's ownership, registration, manning, and construction requirements. This move aligns with NIMASA's statutory duties under the NIMASA Act 2007 and the Cabotage Act 2003.
