The Nigeria Football Federation has replaced captain Joy Igbokwe and midfielder Faridat Abdulwahab in the Falconets squad for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Poland due to unresolved visa issues. Vivian Kachi and Alaba Olabiyi have been called up as replacements. The team arrived in Poland on Tuesday with 20 players and began training at the Stadion Miejski, Fair Play Arena. Additionally, striker Janet Akekoromowei may miss the tournament as her club, Benfica, has not yet released her.
