Police Recover 12.5 Million Victims’ Email Logs across 50 Countries

The Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) has recovered over 12.5 million victims' email logs across more than 50 countries. The director, AIG Akaninyene Ezima, revealed this during a press conference in Abuja. The cyber fraud was uncovered during a business email compromise investigation, and the suspect generated over N100 million from the criminal operation. Additionally, more than N3.6 billion in suspected criminal proceeds was traced through a cryptocurrency conversion scheme in an international investment fraud and money-laundering investigation.
