Bandits attacked Gorau community in Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto State, killing four people and abducting four others. The attack occurred around 9pm on Wednesday, just six days after a boat mishap in the community claimed 65 lives. The assailants also shot seven residents, who are currently receiving treatment in hospital. The bandits reportedly targeted families who were beneficiaries of a N1 million relief donation from the Sokoto State Government for each family of the boat disaster victims.
