The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to complete and inaugurate the 284-kilometre Kano-Katsina railway project by December 2026. During a joint inspection, officials reported that the project is 80% complete, with test running already conducted on the Kazuare to Katsina section. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transportation, represented by Director Habibat Buhari, assured that the project remains on schedule despite earlier challenges.
