The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Omoku Branch, has honoured Engr. George Okoroma for his emergence as President of FIDIC Africa, launching his biography 'Edged in Excellence: Becoming a Leading Professional' at its 3rd Distinguished Annual Lecture. The event, held in Port Harcourt, also served as a homecoming for Okoroma, who was the branch's pioneer chairman. The 400-page biography, written by his son Chukwumela, covers Okoroma's life from early education in Omoku to training in France and over four decades as a consulting engineer. The book includes a foreword by Rivers State Deputy Governor Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu and tributes from family and colleagues.
