Japanese avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama, known for her polka dots, pumpkins, and Infinity Mirror Rooms, has died at the age of 97. She died at a hospital in Tokyo on 14 August, according to a statement from her company. Kusama continued creating art until her final days and was one of Japan's most celebrated artists.
