The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has debunked an AI-generated video that falsely portrayed the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, as making statements suggesting partisan political support. In a statement, the Director of Defence Information, Major General Samaila Uba, said the video was fake and did not emanate from the CDS. The DHQ stated that the statements attributed to the CDS were false and should be disregarded, and that the video was designed to mislead the public and misrepresent the CDS's position. The Armed Forces of Nigeria remains a professional, apolitical, and non-partisan institution.
