The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has approved tougher compliance and enforcement measures to curb engineering failures and protect public safety. Registrar Prof. O.A.U. Uche disclosed this in a statement, saying decisions were taken at the Council's 190th Ordinary Meeting. COREN also approved the registration of 2,001 engineering practitioners, including engineers, technologists, technicians, craftsmen, and expatriates.
