Parliament has deposited Shs3 billion to the Rotary Cancer Run account, bringing its cumulative contribution to Shs10.2 billion over 15 years. Speaker Jacob Marksons Oboth made the announcement during the activation of the 15th edition of the run. The funds will support the construction and equipping of a Cancer Treatment Centre at St. Francis Hospital, Nsambya. The initiative addresses Uganda's critical shortage of radiotherapy equipment.
