The Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation has unveiled the first draft of the 2026-2030 National Water Compact (NWC) to address water sector challenges. Minister Engr. Joseph Terlumun Utsev presented the initiative at a stakeholders' consultation workshop. He emphasized that water is central to sustainable development, affecting public health, food security, and economic growth. The minister noted that Nigeria faces challenges such as rapid urbanization, climate change, and inadequate infrastructure.
