Young people in Sudan are facing a difficult labour market with few formal jobs and limited access to finance and training, challenges worsened by the ongoing conflict. During engagements with a cross-section of young Sudanese in Khartoum, including students, entrepreneurs, and young professionals, many expressed a desire for a greater role in rebuilding their country. The discussions were part of the Economic Commission for Africa's consultations for its Economic Report on Africa 2027, which focuses on youth employment and growth.
