Oil resumption: No individual is bigger than Ogoniland, KAGOTE tells ODC

The Ogoni socio-cultural organisation KAGOTE has reiterated its call for transparency and accountability in the Ogoni Dialogue process, stating that no individual or group is bigger than the collective interest of Ogoniland. In response to the Facilitators of the Ogoni Dialogue Committee (ODC), KAGOTE said its intervention aims to seek clarity and accountability, not confrontation. The organisation, led by President Chief Lesi Maol, supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's renewed engagement with the Ogoni people and recognises the role of National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. It warned that the goodwill surrounding the Federal Government's efforts must not be undermined.
