The Plateau State Government has enhanced security measures around the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru following recent attacks. Commissioner for Environment, Climate Change and Mineral Development, Ubandoma Laven Joshua, disclosed this during a press briefing in Jos on Thursday. The measures include installation of solar-powered lights and other security infrastructure to prevent further attacks and protect lives and property. Joshua said the government provided adequate lighting around NIPSS, including participants' quarters, to eliminate dark spots that criminals could exploit. The intervention follows Governor Caleb Mutfwang's commitment to strengthen security at the institute.
