₦14bn Contract: Umahi orders arrest of Hartland MD

Minister of Works David Umahi ordered the arrest of the Managing Director of Hartland Nigeria Ltd over alleged non-performance of an 11-kilometre road contract worth about N14 billion. During an inspection in Delta State, Umahi expressed anger that only about 40% of the work had been completed despite receiving the funds. The minister also demanded a refund of the contract money and expressed concern over vandalism on the Second Niger Bridge.
