Power Africa Today will host a panel discussion on coal's role in stabilizing energy costs at African Energy Week 2026 in Cape Town. The session will examine how Africa's legacy coal fleet and cleaner technologies can balance energy security with affordability. Africa has about 48 GW of installed coal-fired capacity, mostly in South Africa.
