The National Economic Council (NEC) has stated that Nigeria's economy is stabilizing, but warned against policy reversals as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 elections. The council emphasized the need for sustained reforms and fiscal discipline to translate economic gains into shared prosperity, including job creation and improved living standards. The resolutions were adopted at the 160th NEC meeting chaired by Vice-President Kashim Shettima.
