American Olympic champion Masai Russell set a new world record in the women's 100m hurdles at the Diamond League meet in Zurich on Thursday. Russell clocked 12.09 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 12.12 seconds set by Nigeria's Tobi Amusan in 2022. Amusan finished second with a season's best of 12.23 seconds and expressed satisfaction with her performance.
