The Minister of Health has revealed that over 30% of solar systems installed in Primary Health Centres (PHCs) fail within three years. He attributed the failures not to the technology itself but to the absence of scheduled preventive maintenance, unavailability of spare parts, lack of dedicated budget lines, and unclear responsibility for the systems after the project period ends. The minister made these remarks during a recent event.
